Depois do fracasso com o A6 - Firefly, o Professor Bernhard Kaempfer voltou à tentativa de construir um veículo voador sem recurso a um balão. O A9 - Ornithopter foi desenvolvido no final da década de 60 do Séc. XXIX DD e testado pela primeira vez em 2870. Os primeiros testes foram um sucesso apesar de uma autonomia relativamente pequena. O Exército do Ar comprou a patente e a partir dela desenvolveu o A9 - Phalanx Ornithopter. |
After the failure of the A6 - Firefly, Professor Bernhard Kaempfer returned to attempt to build a flying vehicle without using a balloon. The A9 - Ornithopter was developed in the late 60's Century XXIX DD and tested for the first time in 2870. The first tests were a success despite a relatively small autonomy. The Army of the Air bought the patent and from it developed the A9 - Phalanx Ornithopter. |
