Palombes Islands

Arquipélago situado no centro da metade leste do Gran'océan é composto por duas grandes ilhas, a Grande Palomba a sul e a Pequena Palomba a norte, e mais um punhado de pequenas ilhas junto à Grande Palomba. A Grande Palomba possui um pronunciado sistema montanhoso a norte e um terreno mais suave a sul. É nesta metade sul que se situada a única cidade do arquipélago, Palombar, e toda a industria piscatória. Também é nesta parte da ilha que se situam as conhecidas Ruínas de Ak'ar. A Pequena Palomba possui um relevo extremamente acentuado e a sua presença humana limita-se a pequenas aldeias piscatórias que só possuem embarcações de curto alcance. Estas ilhas foram descobertas, segundo os registos de Graan, no Séc. XIV. As Ruínas de Ak'ar tornaram-se numa atracção para todo o tipo de exploradores o que levou à criação de uma colónia Graanense pouco tempo depois. Depois dos esgotados os tesouros, tornou-se num grande centro piscatório, servindo de ponto de partida para a pesca nos grandes bancos do sul do Grand'Ocean. A presença das Civilizações do Oeste começa durante o Séc. XVI com a criação de um entreposto da Guilda Lima na cidade de Palombar. Este entreposto é conhecido por ter sido o último a possuir reservas de Gas Calx. Com a Era dos Pequenos Reinos, a comunicação com o continente torna-se mais difícil, as industrias pesqueiras desaparecem e à semelhança da maior parte das regiões, o governo torna-se feudal. Com o aparecimento do Heated Gas, torna-se de novo num protectorado da Cidade de Graan e a indústria pesqueira é novamente explorada.

Archipelago situated in the center of the eastern half of the Gran'océan consists of two large islands, the Great Palomba south and Pequena PalombaLittle Palomba to the north, and a handful of small islands off the Great Palomba. The Great Palomba has a pronounced mountain range to the north and a more gentle terrain to the south. It is in the southern half that is the only city located in the archipelago, Palombar, and the entire fishing industry. It is this part of the island lie with known Ruins of Ak'ar. Little Palomba has an extremely sharp relief and its human presence is limited to small fishing villages that have only short-range craft.
