Pacis Monks

Pacis foi uma ordem de monges que existiu durante a última metade da Era do Esquecimento e grande parte da Era do Gas Calx. Assume-se que a sua origem tenha sido na região dos Grandes Lagos e daí se tenham espalhado pelos vários reinos de Quatralle. As principais características dos Pacis eram a sua neutralidade em relação aos conflitos dos vários reinos e a sua sabedoria. Foram os primeiros a despoletar uma busca do saber nos tempos conturbados da Era do Esquecimento. São conhecidos pelos seus relatos históricos e foram "contratados" por vários reis para serem os seus biógrafos. Foram também grandes exploradores sendo-lhes atribuídos os primeiros mapas de Quatralle e a descoberta do Gas Calx. Desde a admissão, nunca depois dos dez anos, os monges viviam sempre nos mosteiros. Alguns poderiam viver alguns anos fora dos mosteiros, mas por norma nunca mais de 5 anos e nunca mais de uma vez. Os seus mosteiros eram conhecidos por serem localizados em locais praticamente inacessíveis. Muitos estavam no topo de rochedos ou em nichos em penhascos. Com o aparecimento da Guilda Lima no Séc. XIV os Pacis perderam influência e chegaram mesmo a serem expulsos de alguns dos seus mosteiros. A ordem foi perdendo influência e no final da Era do Gas Calx estavam praticamente extintos.

Pacis was an order of monks which existed during the last half of the Age of Forgetfulness and much of the Age of Gas Calx. It is assumed that its origin is in the region of Great Lakes and then have spread the various kingdoms of Quatralle. The main characteristics of Pacis was their neutrality in the conflicts of various kingdoms and their wisdom. Were the first to trigger a search for knowledge in the troubled times of the Age of Forgetfulness. They are known for their historical accounts and were "hired" by various kings to be his biographers. They were also great explorers and assigned the first maps of Quatralle and the discovery of Gas Calx. Since the admission, not after ten years old, the monks lived all his life in monasteries. Some may live a few years out of the monasteries, but usually never more than 5 years and never more than once. Their monasteries were known to be located in places almost inaccessible. Many were on top of rocks or in niches in the cliffs. With the advent of Guild Lima in Century XIV the Pacis lost influence, and they were being expelled some of their monasteries. The order was losing influence and at the end of the Age of Gas Calx were virtually destroyed.
