Island of the Elves

A Ilha dos Elfos situa-se no Niger Mare a meio caminho entre a Península de Pelagus e Setentrionalis. Possui um relevo acentuado, florestas impenetráveis e alguns lagos pantanosos relativamente perto dos limites da ilha. A existência desta ilha é conhecida em Quatralle desde a Era do Esquecimento. Desconhece-se a razão do nome, apesar do folclore de Pelagus referir inúmeras vezes um povo chamado de "Elfos". Durante a Era do Gas Calx foram realizadas algumas expedições, a maior parte delas com um fim trágico. A sua cartografia foi conseguida pelo Niveus Sanctus já no final da era. Esquecida durante a Era dos Pequenos Reinos e sem nenhum interesse económico, só volta a ser notícia quando L.P. Anicet III organiza uma expedição à ilha em 2844. O livro resultante dessa expedição, Esqueletos na Ilha dos Elfos, relata a existência de ruínas de uma civilização não-humana e objectos desconhecidos. Apesar da curiosidade suscitada pela expedição de Anicet, os esforços de guerra com Graan e o desinteresse do Exército do Ar, anulam qualquer iniciativa em voltar à Ilha.

The Island of the Elves is located in the Niger Mare halfway between the Pelagus Peninsula and Setentrionalis. It has a high topography, impenetrable forests and some marshy lakes relatively close to the limits of the island. The existence of this island is known in Quatralle since the Age of Forgetfulness. It is unknown why the name, despite the folklore of Pelagus noted, a number of times, a people called "Elves". During the Age of Gas Calx some expeditions were made, most of them with a tragic end. Their mapping was achieved by Niveus Sanctus at the end of the era. Forgotten during the Age of Small Kingdoms and with no economic interest, only back in the news when L.P. Anicet III organizes an expedition to the island in 2844. The book resulting from this expedition, Skeletons in the Island of the Elves, reports the existence of ruins of a non-human civilization and unfamiliar objects. Despite the curiosity raised by the issuance of Anicet, with the effort in the Graan's and the disinterest of the Army of the Air, cancel any move to return to the island.
